I was born in Bombay in 1941 and immigrated to Israel in 1956 andstudied in Bezalel Academy of Art in Jerusalem and trained under the top Israeli Art professors Jossi Stern and Jona Mach.

BenAvram stood out in the Academy as an artist who managed to bring together east and west, the Eastern tradition of his parents home and the Western tradition of painting taught at Bezalel. Ben Avram was then chosen to study under the famous Israeli artist Avram Ofek who was his patron. Ben Avram set up his first studio in Meah She'arim in Jerusalem in 1964. The mixture of the surrounding ultra orthodox environment together with Ben Avram's secular approach created the most amazing paintings full of Jewish mysticism and symbolism yet colorful and joyful.

Between 1964 and 1978 Ben Avram showed his artworks in numerous shows in Canada and the USA. In 1977, he had a one-man show in Safrai Gallery in Jerusalem.
Each year between 1981 and 1985 his artworks were shown both at the Art Expo in New York and at art expos in Los Angeles. Collection in Israel: Israeli Prime Minister's home, Israeli Prime Minister's Office, Jerusalem Municipality.

Currently Ben Avram lives in Jerusalem and his artworks are shown at
the Blue and White Art Gallery in the Old City.
Ben Avram also chose the Blue and White Art Gallery to be the distributor of his Judaica artworks.
